“Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.”
I have been playing sports my whole life. Football and baseball were always my true passions-–I never particularly cared for individual sports. Aside from succeeding as a team, my fondest memories consist of the camaraderie and bonding with my teammates. That stuck with me for the rest of my life. Today, I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the strong team-oriented culture we at Fitness Premier have built. Our motto is “We, NOT me.” I am now fortunate enough to use my skillset and passion for fitness and teamwork to help individuals accomplish exactly what they stepped through our doors for.
I know fear is a huge obstacle.Far too often, individuals develop a mindset that they aren’t good enough or that their goals are out of reach. I am proud to be part of a team of employees and members that work in unison to maintain a culture of success through positivity. Let us help you get over your fears because “everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear”.
Assistant Fitness Manager
“You have to love yourself to fight for life.”
I worked downtown for 28 years as a paralegal and until I moved to Beecher to be with my husband in 2015, I was always up and down in my weight. It was when I was at my largest (210 pounds) when the Fitness Premier in Beecher opened. I decided to join the gym and was given a fitness assessment where I learned about the 6 Week Weight Loss Challenge and that I could lose up to 15 pounds in 6 weeks. I thought “yeah right, another fad diet of some kind”. I could not have been more wrong. I had been a member of many gyms throughout my life, but never felt such motivation and accountability from the staff and trainers. I did end up losing 15 pounds during that 6 Week Challenge and I continued and began their Team Training program, wherein I ended up losing 60 pounds in less than a year. I could never have done it without the encouragement of my Fitness Premier family. It wasn’t until Fitness Premier asked me for a before picture to go with my after picture, when I realized I need to continue to take charge of my life now and do what makes me happy. Thereafter, I quit my job downtown and interviewed at Fitness Premier so I could have a career I can be proud of, as well as, make a difference in this world by helping others do what I already know they can do, just like I did. I fought for my life and I won and now you can too.
